I was about to say the breather had frozen up. But if your water temp also went sky high, then make sure your coolant has not frozen up too. Either that or you have a damaged piston causing crankcase compression.

Have to agree, sounds like the coolant was frozen as well, get some more antifreeze in there or you'll strip the blades off the waterpump impeller or worse!

Yeah i was wonderin why it affected my coolant temp, Just been out 4 about an hour drivin, An its all ok now, So gunna lamp some more anti freeze in, just 2 be on safe side,
