Just checked with local dealer - normal 20,000 mile service will be £170 so savings are quite small, don't think I'll bother, probably be able to call around & find a slightly cheaper price anyway thanks Simon
Not too sure about that - I do around 16-18k miles a year... I think longlife is better for that kind of mileage
The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

A service every 16-18k miles I think is perfectly adequate for a modern day car.
