Oh yes I'm liking those alloys, look almost the same as Neils which I love and now I've seen them on a dark car.  Oh god no slap me down I cannot, must not spend any more money on Bonnie jsut now, bloomin ada this car's costing me a fortune and I blame it all on this forum

Those VMR V710 alloys are really finger-licking good in silver and gun metal! Only £999.99 per set.

This forum will be the end of me and my bank balance. I have to somehow wean myself off this addiction.

Is there a forum shrink? On second thought, not a very bright idea.

It's the VMR V701 alloys that I like but I just cannot justify £1000 at present.

Thanks you Asker that is what I needed to hear, that my monzas are fab and I so don't need to replace them with a set costing £1000.  I get lots of remarks re the monzas and probably wouldn't with the VMRs

Just swapped my Monzas today (front to back). My God that was hard work - they are so heavy! 

I'll ask/pay my dealer next time.

(I know some say to keep the tyres with most tread at the rear but that will never make sense to me on a FWD car when I don't drive like a nutter much of the time. I find front traction and braking more important than worrying about the rear swinging out).

Anyway, while the wheels were off I gave them all a good clean inside and it just got me thinking what a brilliant design they are. Quite easy to clean with a wheel brush and a sponge while they're on the car and they still look so good. Some of the straight spoked wheels can be an absolute pain to clean.

The way I see it now is, that at this rate, fewer and fewer GTi owners will have cars shod with Monza Shadows. How the tables would have turned!

By the way may I ask, what has Geoff got to do with your diffuser being delayed? I thought it was getting done at the Honda dealership.

He blames me for a possible 3rd GTi purchase, so a bit of tit-for-tat is in order. Remember Geoff's car was delayed and I might have been a bit unsympathetic at the time. So he has somehow waved his black magic wand on my diffuser thus delaying its painting for nearly 5 months! Therefore, I BLAME HIM!

I know how you feel....... when I recently swapped my monza's over for the interlagos wheels it nearly killed me. Thought it would be a five minute job but it took me the best part of a morning. I think King Kong must have previously done the bolts up  I was initially going to just put the interlagos on to see what they look like, but I think they will be staying on there for a little while longer while recuperate...
