People are specifying xenon lights to make driving safer at night, fair enough. But for a lot of the year our nightime temperatures are below 6C. Goodyear do not advise the use of the F1 summer tyre below 6C and, as was posted here, it drops to a one star out of five in the cold.
It makes sense to me to fit all season tyres that can cope with cold nights right through the year and cold days in winter. Not to mention grip in snow.
