Thanks guys for the help. Will be investing in some new tyres soon, fingers crossed that sorts things out.

Im also looking for blubs, and its a toss up between the highly rated Philps or the night breakers, which are cheaper. Suggestions, comments?
Mrk V, GTI, 3dr, DSG, heated seats, winter pack, cruise control, rear parking sensors and now thanks to GizzyWizzy and SteveP in the MK6 section a RCD 510. Awesome!

Another thing I noticed today is that my engine on idle is really clunky and sounds like a diesel. Any ideas what might be causing that?

They all do it mate.
............no they don't.Is it an 05 with the AXX engine code by any chance ?.If it is do a search on here for '' my gti sounds like a diesel''. Mine was doing the same, worse when warmed up to temp.Turns out it's the small cam chain & tensioner, right hand side of the engine & ''yes'' there is a cam belt as well. I managed to get mine changed under a warranty i got with the car, sounds perfect now.

Yes By fitting New tyres fixed my rumble problem.

Vrededstein Sesanta's (excuse spelling).

as good as performing as Goodyear assyms for half the price.
