It normally takes a few days of mixed driving to get the ECU to really settle with a re-map. You've done the right thing by doing a few hard acceleration blasts so that the ECU knows you mean business!

The extra torque will be most noticable on the motorway, no more downchanges.

Once it's all settled in it would be good to see some in gear acceleration tests, then put it back to standard to see what sort of difference there is.

Apart from that, just enjoy it! You can do lots of childish wheelspins in the wet now! FUN!

You can notice the mid range grunt on the motorway, it just never seems to be pushed and seems to go from 40-80 in seconds.
Need more play to see if its worth the money.
Monday I'm going to take the map off for a couple of days to see the difference of driving with it on over the weekend.
Stay tuned

Took off the map and you can feel the difference in the higher gears which is what I want (so back on) and more ooomph in 3rd 4th 5th and she now even pulls in 6th. Reminds me of the sports button on the Astra CDti giving that little edge to the engine. Its here to stay, now to see how the fuel consumption changes...

Good to see you're keeping the Bluefin.
A sensible re-map just makes the car complete. Obviously you can push the boat out further but that will just require further upgrades to bring everything back on an even keel.

Shove it back to stock mode once in a while just to remind yourself of how much better the car feels with a re-map. Most people don't use the benefits of the higher revs power that much but the extra torque is of use all the time and helps with improved economy.

if you guys are only seeing improvements in higher gears, try turning your traction control off.. it will be sucking the power from 1st/2nd as it thinks you're about to wheelspin.. but you have more mechanical grip there than the abs computer knows!

i'm running a std car, but i seem to be getting wheelspin reasonably often in 1st/2nd gear.

i'm thinking this is down to a few factors:

1, i have the much maligned dunlops
2, i have DSG and i wonder if the rapid changes equate to "dumping" the clutch more aggressively than if i had a manual
3, road surface quality
