I havent really kept track of this thread now that I have my car (ordered july got it nov i think) but for people still waiting on their cars its quite unbelievable. Can't believe JJH is still waiting and is now told April ? Thats like 8 months ffs !!!  :shocked:

Yes, Kev, it's outragous really, I cant think of another car that would take so long.
There was definately a week in August, probably around the 20th when the order book was filled for UK cars.
After that other markets had their window. Next time, if there is going to be a next time, I will order weeks and weeks in advance and the dealer can sit on it for a couple months if necessary. It's costing VW about £200 per week from here on in. Dont think they'll be making any money in this deal.

Ordered end November, changed from manual to DSG at start of Dec  -  was told yesterday BW 9 or 10 but not confirmed yet...

I had an update today. My car is currently in "production check 5". Apparently production check 8 is when the car's been built and is ready to be shipped so it's looking good for me picking it up the 1st week of March  :smiley:

I wish i knew when mine was coming as the job im now doing at work i have to give 2 weeks notice at least to get time off  :undecided:

I plan to have a few days off myself when the new motor arrives.  :smiley:

Funny how I now get regular updates from VW Wayside considering the car is now being built.. couldn't be because they're worried I'll drop them in it and cancel,surely  :grin: :grin: Not that I would now after going through what seems like a prison sentence in waiting for the Golf!
