Think it looks stunning  :smiley: Gives the rest of us a reminder why we're being so patient ...

Don't know what's happening with my order.. Had an email from Wayside on Thursday saying they've met with VW to discuss what to do for me re the delay and are awaiting their response and haven't heard anything since then.. Surely it can't take that long to come to a decision- I'd have thought VW must be getting enough practice working out how to calm down pi$$ed off customers by now..  :sad:

Btw, Snoop, my order includes the 18" alloys and also the flat tyre indicator. Had a look on the order to check and saw the estimated date for me to pick it up was 31st October...humph !!

Still don't understand this. Why is it so hit and miss with the orders? Someone must know?

Looking at the list it doesn't make sense, unless dealers have taken orders knowing they didn't have allocation?

Think I will give my dealer a ring today and see if I have a build week, mines a November order.

Apparently some dealers are doing this ........very frustrating! I've checked with the dealership i'm about to place my order with has stock. They actually have 2 cars going through at the moment, one has gone to build and can't be changed but the other you can still tweak.

He seems pretty confident that it would be with them in 12 weeks, going by previous orders he's done.

Had a verbal from the dealer that wk4-6 the car would be brought over. Now he is saying there is no confirmed build date and the car will not be available before March at the earliest.

However, there is some good news, he tells me that when a car goes over 20 weeks I can have a free hire car, a golf, through europcar. VW owns them. He promised that even if there is a complication with that the dealer would give me a Golf, free, until mine arrives. Sorted!!!!

Its not the dealers fault. As an example my dealer ordered more or less when they said i did and i got the commision number and also got a provisional build week from VW customer service UK. It then slipped and slipped, Then now does not have one!! This is VW germany/factory fault moving build weeks i was informed because they are now in new markets and demand. (im guessing they don't want to piss the USA customers off as they always go off on one) not UK dealers telling lies. or at least it is in my case.
