My dealer told me to take it easy for the first 1000 miles or so...that's been backed up on here by the thread about running your engine in!

i think i will be on safe side and take it easy for 1000miles, should take me 6-8 weeks i think!

I'm up too just over 500 miles now, another couple of weeks should do it for me then

My order was through a VW dealer, clause 3b) and 4) of the terms and conditions of sale rougly read (i can't find the actual copy right now);

3b) if the goods have not been delivered 21 days after the delivery date, the purchaser can write to the seller and request that the goods are delivered within 7 days of receipt of the letter,
4) if the seller fails to deliver goods under clause 3b) the contract can be cancelled and the deposit returned to the purchaser


I checked this stuff out before I cancelled last week , I didn't actually have to write them a letter in the end, got the deposit back no probs. 

Have you finally had enough of waiting?

white gti ordered 17th august. no build date confirmed yet. i'm toying with the idea of changing the leather option back to cloth which i think looks great and opting for the ACC and heated cloth instead. has anyone got any thoughts on that?

Huge favour, Any chance you could have a look for your form for me and scan the terms and conditions and email me it. As they are been so unhelpfull. I have had enough this is beyond a joke (it was beyond it 4 weeks ago! now its just ...).
Its not the time factor its the attitude!

Is there a complaints procedure and address on the terms/conditions as i haven't read them ?
 thought it would have been Vw uk's head office if you are not getting any joy from the dealers ?
