now 'scheduled'  build week 04  :undecided:

told will have the car mid Feb

VAT situation = VW will cover the 2.5%

I think after a six month wait that is the least i deserve.

Gti mark 6, Candy white, 18" monza shadows, ACC, cruise control.

^ They will cover the VAT till 28thFeb.

The least they could do would be honour the original quote/order you agreed too ie pay the VAT rise AND Let you register it in March (as compensation!)

As if its week 4, your talking ~3 weeks later to pickup (due to build time, shipping, PDI, & paperwork), so your new car in probably less than a week due to the plate change will look 6 months old!

This is one of the reasons i feel like im been treated like sh1t by VW!
Make me wait 12 EXTRA weeks![/b] then don't offer to compensate at all! Its a *#*##** disgrace and a p1ss take.

It's a shame a few guys are cancelling or thinking about doing it- all for vaild reasons though. I just think it's a pity bearing in mind the number of months people have waited to call it a day now but we've all got different circumstances I guess.

Best of luck for those who have gone elsewhere

Very true H12, I get the feeling that if the ones who have cancelled or thinking about it had helpful friendly dealers who would keep them upto date, actually fight there corner against VW for compensation for them, less would be upset and less would have cancelled or thinking about it. I see it as a principal thing why some have done it.

At the end of the day VW if it was a supply issue im sure would have a huge clause in there contract with there supplier to say you don't supply on time you pay a huge fine!

If VW would just simple see whats happening and compensate those people who have/are waiting 6 months!!+ twice as long as they were originally told. They must have known how this is going to upset customers!

I do currently feel like writing to the magazines to let them know.
