If they are the Mark 3 Angel eyes should have the same connector fitting on the rear. Change them onto car and should just plug in the same.  I changed mine for Hella Quads recently and after bolting them to car just plugged in and away we go. Took me about 5/10 mins to change them, hardest bit was getting the grille off without breaking the clips!!!!      Cheers      Deano

Hey babyvw,

From the description given it sounds like their very simular to the first set of lights that I got for my first GTi.

The Angel Eye Lights came with a standard connector and additional wires that were loose comming from the back of the light unit.

To enable them to work I had to splice into the existing wiring using a one into two connector block thingy.

I dunno if this helps or hinders, if the units that you've got sound like the same ill see if i can dig out the fitting instructions as I still have them.

Personally mate there's no way I would go messing with headlight wiring! Splicing wires is always a possible fire hazard.

Well if you still want some get a set of these, as just plug and play (happy days):

Or do what Len suggests....

Standards or Hella Twins...

decisions, decisions..

just call a decent auto electrician and get them to do it... cheaper than buying new kit and you know the job will have been done properly then
