well there already fitted and aint a clue what all the wires are coming out the back the headlights work normally side and main ect but no anyel eye??

From the description given it sounds like their very simular to the first set of lights that I got for my first GTi.
The Angel Eye Lights came with a standard connector and additional wires that were loose comming from the back of the light unit.
To enable them to work I had to splice into the existing wiring using a one into two connector block thingy.
I dunno if this helps or hinders, if the units that you've got sound like the same ill see if i can dig out the fitting instructions as I still have them.
