was in my local stealers lookers middlesbrough, and they have and offer on 4 18" detroits black with polished rim like the original ed 30 press shots for £579 all in! used to be £1200 plus, if i had 18s on mine already i might be tempted :drool:

Are you certain that they are not reps?

I would be interesting to know if they are genuine VW or reps. Should be the real thing but some dealers do sell copys.

i would think all the wheels the stealers sell are genuine arnt they?????, if not im suprised and wouldnt be very happy paying the original £1200 plus for reps :angry:

our local dealer sells cheap crap replicas with cheap tyres they also put them on nearly every second hand car. they really dont have a clue :sad:

thats shocking, if you bought a gti off them then 6 months later the laquer started lifting what would they do???, plus are reps the correct offset and width???, if owt happened surely you would have them over a barrel????

No idea what he is talking about the detroit / monza wheels ARE BBS so if they are NOT BBS then they are reps, simple as . . .

Apart from the Ronal ones.

The early Monzas were BBS but the late ones were Ronals. There are at least two part numbers I've seen for the black Detroits too so they could be BBS and Ronal too.
