Well, to those who doubted s111 hoc, you can apologise to him now!!!
I've now got my set and can indeed confirm they are genuine BBS Detroits, or black Monza IIs depending on your viewpoint. Bargain.

Thank you s111 hoc, I've been after a set of these for ages.
And thanks also to Lookers parts guys, helpful isn't the word, excellent service.

Yes I must say what a bargin, I rang the same dealer to day and they still have 1 set left to clear 570 quid, I was very very tempted.

I went for a test drive today mk6 GTI and was very impressed much more refined and a lovely to  drive, its decision's decision's what to do???? They offered me 18,000 for mine 58plate Edition30. Cant make my mind up?? steve30  :smug:

The one in Boro. I just phoned the branch you posted up, and if they'd have been sold out I'd have phoned the other Lookers branches. My local dealer is in a different group, I phoned them first to see if it was a general VW promo but they said no.
Lookers are probably having a clear out of mk5 accessories at the mo as they gear up for mk6 bits coming in. VW have a purge on stuff like this every so often when the model type changes. I picked up some bargain priced Evolos for my mk4 about 6 months after the mk5 GTI was launched!
