OK:
3-door (would have had 5-dr if was ok with side rear seat airbags but I'm worried by critics' analysis on dangers of airbags injuring children) - 3-dr should be tougher body shell than 5 but each and every accident will affect a car differently so all my thinking on the subject is probably pointless - G-d Forbid it's ever a necessary concern!
Service plan
Manual - more me than DSG
pearlescent black - considered white but I think it might look worse when only a bit dirty than black will look but probably not much in it - might be too many whites around when I sell the car - might affect resale values though there'll be loads of p black around, too.
Considered red but isn't metallic/pearl essential for resale values. Also considered carbon grey - I like p black and just think it's the safer bet for resale values.

Sat Nav not worth the money (to me) - can spend £60 and get it on iphone or buy Tom Tom hardware
besides colour uncertainty, only thing bothering me is that sticking with cloth - I just think it hugs the driver's back better than leather, I think the leather removes the character which the cloth brings to the car and I think the cloth will age better than the leather - I also don't have the patience to look after the leather as I believe one must - cloth doesn't need the attention.
That's it.
