I want to wait till tomorrow when I have received the order form, have signed it and have faxed it back - I'll then feel that whatever you guys say, I'll not want to cry to the dealer about wanting to make changes to the order - you've waited this long, one more sleepless night shouldn't break you.

But why won't you??? You will still have umpteen weeks to change colour, extras, you name it until the build date has been confirmed.

The order is in but not signed yet - will do tomorrow - won't reveal the spec until the order is signed and I've faxed it back - perhaps you guys and gals should post your predictions as to the spec and let's see tomorrow who was closest - the final spec is not even as you might assume from yesterday's thoughts...

Next, thinking of changing the Freelander 2 for a Volvo XC90 - I'll go and see if there's a forum - they're going to love me as much as you lot love me...

We have an XC90, bought it in March this year, brand new, to be honest I was not a lover of the car, but as time has gone by, I have to say its a very very good car. We have the 2.4diesel which is about 185ps, I think they have increased to power a bit now, but its not a bad engine, very quiet too. Its a great motorway crusier too and its better screwed together than my mk5 golf which is not saying a lot, but it does have a quality feel to it. You can also get some great deals on them too.

And it's a proper 7 seater, so people carrier or XC90....

Thnx - we love the Freelander 2 but a bigger 4x4 would be useful and, as you say, good buying opportunities on the XC 90 at the moment. Good value - look at the daft prices on things like Disco 4 and Lexus RX 450 H - both mid £50K's!! No-one will be paying that, though...
