How come the Germans get a cool aluminum footrest in their DSG car, but we get a naff plastic bit?

I wonder if we can buy the aluminium one aftermarket?

This chap has an unusual spec - recaro seats - look great (but there appears to be wear on the passenger side bolster already- pesky passengers)
                                            18" alloys ?
sunroof (dump the sunroof get the 19"!)

Golf R (on order): 5dr, rising blue, 19", sat-nav, ACC, parking sensors, Bluetooth tel prep, cruise control, Lux pack, storage pack, rear airbag/seatbelt sensors..........BW07 confirmed Can't wait!

The driver seat looks pretty knackered... are you sure you're not getting confused with the LHD?!?
I'd be gutted if I'd spent over £3k on seats and they looked like that after a few weeks.

The grey looks amazing from the front when it almost looks like the GTI carbon colour.

Nice one, Booski, thanks for posting! The United Grey colour looks excellent. You're right, the 18" alloys on this one make a good case for going with the 19" wheels. But I'd sooner dump the Recaros than the sunroof. This car can't be more than a few weeks old and look at how the side bolster is crumpled. Unbelievable. As I said in another post, these seats are really not worth it. I cannot understand why anyone would want them over the standard and more comfortable (IMHO) ones. P3eps, do yourself a favour and put the £K in Apple shares.

I see VW have moved the parking sensors on the front of the R to below the bumper.
Much better in my opinion as I think those sensors spoil the look of the MKVI
