How come the Germans get a cool aluminum footrest in their DSG car, but we get a naff plastic bit?I wonder if we can buy the aluminium one aftermarket?

The guy who sold the GTI seat inserts on ebay also does an aluminium footrest, cost about £25 I think, sorry cant remember his details.
recaro seats - look great (but there appears to be wear on the passenger side bolster already- pesky passengers)
