The noises are funny, its the odours that worry me lol. Could just be the baffles in the exhaust then as a few others have said. Or possibly an air leak. If its running alright then it might just be a case of living with it, or putting the stereo on, sultans of swing usually does the trick for me lol

You tried banging the exhaust with your hand?
Broken up baffle will rattle when you bang the offending box.

Not tried banging the exhaust - next time I have it up in the air I wil take a close inspection of the joints and do a bit of tapping.
