If the scirocco R is anything to go by the Golf R will be too harsh and crude.
The Sunday Times has just awarded the Sciroccco R 3 stars.
It gives the 197bhp version 5 stars.

You owners of Mk6 GTI's might just have a better car than the Golf R.
Rather like Mk5 GTI owners have a better car than the R32.

flawed statement really as you have never owned the later

I don't buy EVO.  I find it just a little smug for my taste.

i thought there was a G6gti specific forum  :undecided:

Don't you mean a G5.5gti forum

Seriously though, I remember the exact same thing between the MKIV and MKV forum and it all ended happily ever after. Just get used to it, 'cos it ain't gonna change!

I dont see the same happening mate, the mk4 owners realised they owned the inferior car quite quickly! Not enough difference between mk5 and 6.

You are soooo, sooooo right

yes.... but... 1 negative review vs 4 positive reviews suggests it could be rather good?

Heres hoping!!
Thats the downer to ordering a car that NO ONE has driven or reviewed yet!
Having said that - unless all the magazines give it 1 star and say its pathetic, I'll be sticking with it!
If it gets ABSOLUTELY SLATED, then I may consider losing my £1000 deposit!
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.
