I can follow the yr2000 AUM layout on VAGCAT and identify the same pipework on the car.  The lower hose in the awesome kit just doesn't follow what's on the car or VAGCAT, unless you pull it all out and fit theirs differently.

Will try to diagnose where the vapour is coming from if its dry this weekend!

So where does that pipe attach to?

Had another look at this today.  Following down from the head breather (Y), wiggly pipe shown in white with the little flat at the top (down to the T piece) is there, but the second awesome pipe in blue is where I got all the suction jet etc?

As mentioned cleaned that area up today and no sign of fresh oil.  Might be crud from when the dip-stick guide failed?  Will have another look in a week or two.  Looks so much tidier with all the N249 guff stripped out!

TJG, maybe our AUMs are special?

In doing the N249 thang at the weekend noticed a nice amount of oil (old & new) around what I've now identified as the "suction jet pump" and associated pipework (part No.s 058133753B, 06A133782D etc).  What is all this pipework under the intake manifold, between the head breather (Y) and oil filter housing and where is it likely leaking off?

Been recently looking at the awesome breather kit, but seeing this problem area can't for the life of me work out how it would fit in/around all this guff.

Anyone got any bright ideas?

On investigating my boost leak my SJP doesn't look too healthy so I'm thinking of replacing it while I'm in there replacing my PCV valve. I just rang my local dealer and quoted the part number 058133753 and it comes up as for an AGU code automatic rather than the AUM manual I have.
Anyone else encountered this when purchasing one?

Have a read of my thread regarding catch tank pipework, apparently there was a difference between early and late AUM engines in the way the PCV and SJP pipework was setup.

Thanks Waffs, I already read that and mine is an early AUM with the inlet manifold => SJP => PCV valve setup. I found the part number for the SJP on a couple of threads here but when I gave that to VW they said it's for an automatic AGU rather than a manual AUM. As I'd have to pay in advance to order it I want to be sure I'm getting the right part

Yeah sorry buddy i relised it was you who has posted, my reply was more aimed at Mr Orange and TJG in repsonse to their AUM's being special - should clear it up for them

Its also a point worth noting when looking at AUM manifolds (e.g. polished) that they may have one port, or two, and depending what mods you've made to your PCV/SJP systems may cause issues
