Best place to buy replacement body panels
« on: 04 November 2009, 13:00 »
Any recommendations for companies selling replacement body panels?

Need a set of replacement sills to weld up a '97 3dr 16V  Floor pan is also badly rusted around bungs in rear foot well (not much of a problem) but also on the outboard seam where it joins the sills (bigger problem). Thought late mk3's were fully galavanised!!??

Not sure mate so if you find a place let us know!

Could try Eurocarparts and GSF first.

Need sills myself!

They tend to make them bigger than what you need, you trim back and use what you need.

+1 just cut out the rot/bent areas+ find something decent to attach the new sill to
one of my 'reinforced jacking humps' has also collapsed so i will be welding in some heavy duty, properly reinforced replacements+ add extra reinforcement to the jacking points on the sills im sick  and tired  of feeling like im destroying my car everytime i jack it up

Kinda what I was thinking, but use a length of steel angle along the bottom edge.
