just done my first boot buid, nothing exciting but i like it and looks tidy

Looks good mate! I need to do something similar with mine. I need to be able to use the boot still, because my mate is in a wheel chair (need the storage space).
Anyone know if you can get a solid grill to protect the sub?

Very good. Similar to the one I am doing for my A-level project, except mine will have the sub and the amp next to each other rather than at opposite sides.

you would not need a router to rebate it all you needed was a trim panel to cover it something along the lines of a couple of installs i have done for customers
