My build week of 08, ie this week, is also confirmed, plus I have had formal confirmation that production is underway.  ETA second week in March

That doesn't make sense, this week is build week 6? is it not?

And why 4 weeks pick up from build week, I thought it was 3 maximum?

Hmm, yes you are right, sorry.  They must have brought it forward a couple of weeks, hurrah.

But definitely saying that it will be second week in March, so week beginning 8th of March.  Maybe thats just be being overly pessimistic given previous form, plus I want a 10 plate having waited this long.

Hello all, not sure if this is the best place to post but thought it better than starting a new thread...

Just about to order a company lease Golf GTI. The agent said worst case scenario 17 weeks - so delivery beginning of June. He tells me it's longer than usual because of a four week delay VW had but they are catching up so should be mid May onwards.

Does this sound like a likely story? I've been scanning this thread and have noticed that some of you have been waiting six months. Can I get a build week from him before I order or is that something that comes after the order? Bearing in mind I'm one step away from the dealer (because the agent is offering a fantastic price).

Any help or advice appreciated as the June date is as far as I can go 'cos my current company car has to go back (and would be due it's first MOT).

Next dilemma is choosing the right tyers ? Normally I go for Michelin but im now not sure. Living in central Scotland a tyre that is good in the wet is important. Any recommendations out there.

Put those Monza shadows back on the order I will buy them off you for what they cost as an option.

Even if I didnt buy them you can get good money for them

Phone call from dealer to say my car is now showing "production complete" . According to him it went direct from confirmed BW07 to production complete.

Happy days, just waiting for it to get over here now.

Am i right in thinking it will be a couple of weeks?
