Phone call from dealer to say my car is now showing "production complete" . According to him it went direct from confirmed BW07 to production complete.
Happy days, just waiting for it to get over here now.
Am i right in thinking it will be a couple of weeks?

That was quick  As its only build week 6 now
Yes your correct in thinking that. I was told by VWcs shipping normally takes 5 to 10 days.

That would be ideal

The consensus would appear to be that production is being ramped up and that cars are actually now being built/delivered.

Certainly dont accept delivery before 01/03/10!
3dr, Pearl Black, 18" Monzas, RCD 510, DSG, now delivered and rattling.

So could be then, that most will get a week or 2 week earlier build week over the next few weeks?

Does anyone know if the factory shuts for easter?

Put those Monza shadows back on the order I will buy them off you for what they cost as an option.

Yes your correct in thinking that. I was told by VWcs shipping normally takes 5 to 10 days.

Still on BW 9. Car ordered 16 December 2009. So no change so far.
Dealer e-mailed yesterday to say that they will be able to give me more details at the start of BW9. Nothing before then. I enquired when the car would be locked down. They could not give me an answer, obviously.
Also, they expect the car to be shipped during BW10 if it is built during BW9.
Feel no more informed than before.
Quite close to cancelling the order and getting a Mercedes C Class 350 CDI Sport Auto. Guaranteed delivery 15th March.
The wait continues.

I ordered mine on 28th November and was told last week that it is down for build week 11. Can't see any pattern or logic.

Though my car was 'officially' ordered on 16 December 2009, I was informed that it was an 'assigned' vehicle to the dealership since June 2009.
Goodness knows what all this means.
All very curious.

Mine did exactly the same, confirmed BW07.  In fact I was in the dealers on Monday arranging Gap / Lifeshine, and on Dialog it was showing still BW07 confirmed.  Phone call yesterday revealed that it was built and awaiting a VIN number.

Happy days indeed!
