I ordered a GTI White, 5 door, manual on Dec 22nd and have it down for BW10 unconfirmed (as of yesterday)

Dealer did say VW were trying to accelerate build times - who knows if this will come to pass ... !!

Mine's moved forward too - but only 1 week!  So much for it being confirmed  :angry:  I'm away snowboarding the first week in March in Canada, but I'd be great if it'd jump another week or two so it was here when I come back!

I was just checking through my stuff earlier... and I put down a deposit for mine on the 31st May 2009, and expect to see it in March / April.  I win!!  :laugh:

You could have avioded paying a deposit by telling the dealer it's gonna be a lease purchase through a finance company, they dont expect a deposit. When the day comes to pay to pay however you like, they dont care.

The Golf R didn't really exist until 30th October over here, so my deposit was just keeping the no.1 slot in the dealers queue.
