Please can more people cancel their GTIs. Hopefully, I'll get my R before the end of the year then and avoid the VAT rise. :huh:

Ah - that's right we still get 2.5% discount if delivered before 1st March 2010.

At least we're avoiding the 2.4% price increase for 2010:

My dealer mentioned the price increase when i was ordering back in October. He said although they had had no word there would be an increase at that point, historically VW always had a price increase in january. I thought he was at it at the time as i didn't think the VAT AND the price would rise.... sorry dealer  :embarassed:

Even if it did arrive in Feb - would you really want to put a 59 plate on it when you could wait a week and have a 10 plate?!
I'll definately be waiting - but then my dealer has agreed to pay half of the VAT increase if its after Feb 28th.
