It won't go in ?

Right started to fit my double din head unit today and i have a question ...how the hell do you get it to fit . I have what seems to be loads of wires at the back in the way ?...and when i use the adaptor thing i had to buy to fit mine , as soon as i fit it into the adaptor the front won't go all the way down !!! ...what the hell am i doing wrong ???

i take it the h/u you bought is screwed in via 2 screws each side of the h/u
if thats the case it could be the screws to hold it in are too long and fouling on the mechanism
what adapter did you have to buy as a mk4 is a standard iso

all sorted , had to do a bit of creative trimming with the stanley knife , works a treat now ...i'll put pics up tomorrow ....

and finally ended up with this .....nice .


Its a Clarion MAX385vd , and so far its awesome . Just got to work out how to bypass the safety wire to get the video to work ...??? and it also has Sirius radio built in , do we get it in this country ???

Oh and i put this in to go with it ....

Connect the lead (that is suppose to go to the handbrake) to an earth, this will allow you watch DVD's on the go.

Tried that already , been told i might have to put a toggle switch in line ???

Great ....my ipod lead has just turned up , so now i have to take it out again ....lol
