the rear axles are designed to have a little give in them, mine bends slightly when I jack it up, are you sure it wasn't just bending because you had the jack in the middle.

I took mine off the other week, and even though it looks like 1 solid piece, it does actually have some bend and elasticity to it....

Little tip here - don't jack the car up from the middle of the beam. That's one sure way they get bent. The beam axle is designed to twist, not bend.

I never jack them in the middle, where it mounts is a lot safer.

i dint jack me car in the middle?!

done now anyway new axle in, new stub axle both sides, bearings and brakes.

its in for the m.o.t sat.....wish me luck!!!!!
mk2 bright blue met bits wanted in north west.
