Please Help

I have a Golf Gti 8 v 96 & i am having this jerking when I am accelerating. Once i get to about 40+ this goes away. I have changed the plugs, dis cap rota arm, leads air filter, & have checked for air leaks on manifold & air pipes too. I have even tried putting in super unleaded & this hasn?t changed it at all Please any one got any help???????????

have u tried to see if none of the pipes are blocked or hoses might be loose?

maybe the air intake might be blocked try making sure that no electric sensors or plugs are loose also make sure ecu wiring hasnt got loose and not conected proberly

hope this helps a bit mate i ahd the same problem on my fiesta once was just the ecu was a bit loose

try cleanin the throttle body. if its coverd in sh!t that wont help.

Thanks for the replies, I have cleaned the throttle body that?s all spotless, Also have checked the air intake, but must admit haven?t tried the ecu wiring, can some one please tell me where I will find this? Thanks again for replies

Check to post 2 down from yours could be the coil? :)

Hi please explain this bit - Check to post 2 down from yours?  I understand could be the coil is there a way of checking this be4 going out & buying one?

Have 2 day had a mate fit a new coil for me & fingers x it seams so much better so much smoother, I have ordered the relays to change as well so that I know that they have been done to so will post again in a couple of weeks to update ya on how its going.

 Well  >:( after a couple of weeks its back to jerking on acceleration again, mainly in 3rd & 4the between 20 - 45mph. I have now been out and brought the genuine VW lead set & king lead & cap & rotor as the other were from German French & Swedish & was told that this could be your problem but no its still doing it & I am now ?87 down for the coil & ?125  for the genuine leads & stuff. Please help me I am going mad as apart from this the car is fine but I am loosing my patience with it now & it?s driving me mad. Have also changed the ECU & FUEL RELAYS so it?s not then either  ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
