Urgh - sounds like you've been done over tbh. You live and learn - ALWAYS buy private - I hate "traders" - 95% just bodge fix things and NEVER trust an MOT issued by a trader

Just for an update...

Getting there slowly, went out in it on Sunday to the shops, came home and had lost the majority of it's water through the rad peeing out....
Did't want to chance taking it to the dealer and boiling my engine so my local garage have put a new rad on it, plus replace the punctured tyre and done an oil change - nice £240 bill to go with it.....
Thinking of sending the bill to the dealer to pay

Put new locks on,(drivers side didn't have one, and the passenger and boot don't fit the key I had) but dropped the passenger side one which has broke - so looking for another set now

Dipstick sorted, just really got the window reg to do and new locks (or just the paddles) when I find some more...

Hopefully I can then drive it and appreciate it!

Ouch I feel for you. Sounds like the moosetard dealer I bought my golf from. Head gasket was apparently not covered under the engine warranty

Soon changed their tune when I rolled up with the car on a tow truck and blocked their entrance. Not good for new customers when a very dissatified one is ranting on the forecourt

They fixed it but did such a rubbish job (I dont think they skimmed it) because 8 months later went again

I hope you get to enjoy driving it soon!
