One of he reasons i went for the mk6 was it did not have stupid useless quarterlight windows at the front like some of its rivals.
Yeah, I'm with you on that Snoops, and I have a nasty feeling the next generation Golf will have that feature just like the Leon does (sister car). Fingers crossed that won't happen. The new Polo just avoids it (black plastic blanking plate instead) so there may be hope for the Golf!
One thing I used to love about my mk1 was the really deep back window, it may have made the boot small but it doesn't half make parking easy.
