Grey is just the best colour on all cars! IMO
Ferrari's, Aston's, M3's etc. All look best in grey. It's the perfect balance of stealth bomber and still bringing out the highlights in design.

Grey day, grey colour, grey life. Boring. YAWN!

Of all the colours in the world, why or why grey it out?

We're not talking toilets, we're talking cars. Seriously, what colour do you see most Aston's showcased in? Grey. Can't remember the name but there was a limited edition Lambo on Top Gear a while back, the one with jet fighter dials etc, stealth bomber grey. It just looks great! Red is too nickable, black too hard to keep clean, White will go out of fashion.. Grey all the way

It is still: 'Oh so grey!' BORING.

Even worse is silver.

I agree about white going out of fashion, but it looks fabulous on a GTi. It is very popular now.

Black is total style, but hard to keep clean. Makes a car look expensive. Gives a car the depth of finish no other colour can. Gorgeous on GTi.

Red is totally fabulous especially on a Golf GTi. The GTi in the brochure is RED.

But this is my personal taste.

Each to their own.

White looks good on washing machines, fridges, fridge/freezers, dishwashers and all the other 'white goods' out there

Well, each to his own as you said. I think the GTI is lovely in red, I had a deposit on one when the mk5 came out, but bottled it as I think it stands out too much. I love the sleeper look of the grey.
