1500'd paint after a respray and a rotary polisher + G6 cutting compound.
Then a good wax.
Ouchies

Or you can do what I'm going through

Brand new paint.
1200 unigrit, 2000 unigrit, 4000 unigrit, snowfoam, wash, clay, wash, dry then have at it with some nice menzerna, sonus, 3M, detailing polishes etc on a DA instead of rotary to keep the heat and amount of lacquer removed down. with a different pad for each level of cut.
Once you've done those wash it again dry it again, then you are supposed to leave it for 6 months to cure fully and allow outgassing and just keep it really clean with good maintenance washes.
Then 6 months later go through the wash, clay, wash, machine polish, wash, dry again, then a nice glaze and a few layers of sealant and then finish off with a good quality Wax 24 hours later another wash and dry and then another wax coat repeat for x days.
End result is well protected brand new paint, see if it can outlast the 20 years of it's previous paint

Or is it just me
