Found a problem
« on: 09 October 2009, 11:28 »

although I swear I've checked this hose a thousand times before. Maybe it was small and got bigger when tip was fitted.

Now here's the problem, there's none of those silicone replacement jobbies on ebay at the moment, I've messsaged the seller so I'll just have to leave it for now :(

the lugs for the dv and accumulator valve are in a slightly different place, so that pipe takes a bit of a stretch when reinstalled.. i checked it when we were done and it was flimsy but hole-free  you'll be fine driving it like that until you get a replacement.. i bet half the aum owners on here have the same broken pipe and aren't even aware of it

I thought you'd check it :). So basically this isn't the source of my problems?! Look by the PCV hoses and can't see no problems! N249 bypass soon me thinks. and maybe a new 007p.

That old chestnut!  Think AUM drivers should keep a spare one of these in the glovebox.  Let us know if you source a silicon one from somewhere.

Is that the seller called volksbits?

According to receipts the hoses on ours are about a year old now, so think its time I found one of these too!

Can you give him a nudge to see if the lower breather pipes are ready? I broke mine replacing that top breather pipe so mine is taped up at the moment.

I still seem to be loosing power somewhere though. Might have to take a visit to R-Tech.
