Just a FEW problems

Hi, ive had my 96 gti for abou 3 months now and all has been fine, untill now, my abs light has come on and i can hear a hissing sound near the servo and the idle is really rough all the time.

any idea's on whats up with it?

and i dont have vag com as of yet  but will get it soon but where does it plug in etc?

Sounds like an air leak from a split pipe.

do you think it should run a little better then? and also when i been for a drive, stop at trafic lights my idle stays at around 1400rpm, i rev it then it will drop down to about 800, what causing this?

The air leak will not be helping.

just a quick one, will a split servo pipe cause the ABS light to come on?

yea its the AGG 8 valve and yea ok, just need to get the cable for vagcom and a laptop, and learn how use it lol.

you pull your ashtray out and clip off the black cover to the left and thats where ya plug cable. . . .


VW said would cost me no more than £50 to get mine plugged in. . . . 96 8v agg

There's another problem to add to your list then

As Drew said, take it to VW to get it plugged in or find a friendly mechanic that will do it for free
