won't you have to be careful with those ready made adaptors as FroGTI drives on the wrong side of the road

As SteveP found out when he was given the wrong tail light - couple of bulbs are in the wrong position so it would stand to reason that the wiring will be different too

Eh? Why? There's one connector for each of the 4 light clusters. I don't think it matters which lights (fog, reverse...) are inside. All these adapters do is change each of the 4 stock connectors to LED types.

SteveP's problem was that he was supplied with LHD light clusters.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Someone post a guide

You big girl's blouse  Just buy some and plug 'em in - THEY WILL WORK!

Incidentally, one big disappointment: the indicators don't use LEDs and therefore 'fade in & out' like the stock lights  I was hoping for Mercedes-style instant on/off LED indicators.

Why would they do that with the indicators, I just dont understand it. Can the indicator bulbs not be replaced with LED's ?

^^^ If you order the same as the Frog then you will end up with LHD inner lights (like my dealer ordered for me).

This is exactly what I brought to do everything with VW parts: -

1x 5K0 945 093 Q (Inner Light)
1x 5K0 945 094 Q (Inner Light)
1x 5K0 945 095 L (Outer Light)
1x 5K0 945 096 L (Outer Light)

4 x 7N0 972 703 - LED Connector Housing
4 x 191 972 713 - Standard Taillight Connector Housings
6 x 000 979 150E - Repair Wires for LED Connector
6 x 000 979 129 - Repair Wires for Standard Taillight Connector

If people are seriously interested in a GB then I am happy to organise one and help people with coding etc

Dealer list price was about £465+VAT

I think in the end the total I got it for was £410 inc VAT. The adapter parts on their own are £45.

£410 all in is tempting. I'm sure FroGTI paid £350-ish all in though, didnt he ?

Mr P.
Have you got your fogs/reversing lights sorted now ? and is it much of a job to make the adapters up,
I am down for a set of Leds but can't see getting much of a group discount unless we can get a fair few together  :undecided:
