I have leather but no winter pack and both seats are heated. One thing I am curious about though is that in a post above it suggests that the passenger seat lumbar support is manually adjusted whereas both of mine have electric adjusters...what happened there?, spec wrong or do I have a LHD driver seat as a passenger seat.? Anybody else checked theirs?

Both our seats are electronic

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Yeah i forgot, if you get the leather seats u get also the electric lumbar support. 100%sure

As with xenons you get the "leaving home coming home feature" and the headlights washer (dunno how they are called in english)

Basically if you order leather + xenons, the winter pack is included, except maybe the heated water for the windscreen

But not having a heated windscreen, that last bit seems quite important to me.

True, but in that case i guess that if you want them, and u have the leather and xenons you are going to pay them A lot less than the standard winter pack.

Is actually clearer to me why Leather seats costs so much ( € 2.000ish is far from being a good price for leather ) and also xenons cost quite a lot ( 1.550ish )

Leaving home / coming home feature comes with the convienience pack which is standard on GTI's (auto lights / wipers etc) at least in the UK.

Are you sure the electric lumbar adjustment is only with leather?  With the mk5 it was standard on all seats but the other adjustments were manual?

Very expansive in Germany, assuming you need an adapter too to get it working;

I guess there's a difference between the GTI and R lights then - Are the R's darker or something?

You are correct, the R ones are darker and you do not need anything extra to fit them in regarding to the Volkswagen HQ here in Sweden. All that are nowadays included in the lights itself.

Anyone heard anything more on this for the UK?

I'm sure if we badger VW UK enough we will get them, right?

I remember a few weeks back seeing a member flagged as MainDealer or something similar; perhaps this guy [who I'm assuming [??]] to be an authority on what informs VW minds, has an insight for us.

I have heard nothing new.
If it was going to happen for the uk soon i would have expected it in the 'week45 engine and spec change' bulletin VW sent to uk dealers. Europeen dealers got a very similar one to us but it had the LED info in it the UK one did not.

LHD is 5K0 945 094 R

This talk of LED rear lights, on my way home i started looking at other cars and i did not notice until now how many other makes now have them as standard. On my drive home i spotted New A4's, a Renault laguna, BMWs, and a citroen C5 all had them, get with the times VW

VW have been fitting LED rear lights to models for years... Just not to the standard Golf!! Passat, Jetta, Golf Plus and Eos all have LED as standard as does the Phaeton. Not sure about the Touareg...

It's one of the down sides of buying a new model just after launch. I wouldn't be suprised if they change the wheels for 2010 model too....
