Golf Gti is getting LED back lights

Ok, spoke to the dealer, and he confirmed that The golf GTI built from week 45 onward will have LED back lights, the price range is not confirmed, but it appears that if you order the xenons the LED are standards, is like leathers seats=heated seats.

I am talking for the Italian marker, but it shouldn't vary too much from the UK one!

You dont get heatest seats as standard when you buy leather though.

I think you do.  I noticed because the winter pack is cheaper when you order the leather seats.  And this was UK specs.

You can order leather seats without ordering the winter pack. It doesnt come as standard.

I have the list for UK specs dated 1:5:2009 infront of me it does say in the 'vienna'  leather seat option that heated front seats come with them.

It would be nice if it did happen in the UK too but i don't think it will. The reason i say this is.
I  have a direct copy of the Week45 build info sent to UK dealers from VW stating any design changes to the VW range and specification and option changes for the uk, from build week 45 on. it does not have in it anywere LED rear lights.
I would expect it to be in there if it was going to happen for the UK market as it included things like
The speedo needles will get a black line round its edge this will slowly be introduced from week 45,
RNS510 satnav will have integrated voice control.
1.4 122, 1.4 160, 2.0 140, 2.0 170 Will get visual gear change recomendation for manual boxes in multifuction computer.
SE Bluemotion Tec models removal of sport suspension
SE 1.6 TDI DSG Blue motion tec now available
GTD- XDS becomes standard.
S, SE and GT rear reflectors to become  cherry red.
New engines: S 1.2 TSI 105 ,Bluemotion 1.6 TDI 105, SE 1.6 TDI 105 bluemotion tecnology

It didnt when I was speccing up my car, that a recent change then ?

With both the mk4 and mk5 heated seats came 'standard' with leather.  I'd be really surprised if they didn't come as standard with leather as you really do need them in the winter.  Kev maybe your dealer didn't know the full details of what he was selling (and in my experience this is on par for a VW dealer..  )

It did when I was speccing up mine, which was about the same time, but honestly it was practically a state secret.  I only realised when I was adding it up on DealDrivers, and saw the price of the winter pack was reduced if you had specified leather seats.  Then I realised it was like that on the configurator too, just very very well disguised.

I have leather but no winter pack and both seats are heated. One thing I am curious about though is that in a post above it suggests that the passenger seat lumbar support is manually adjusted whereas both of mine have electric adjusters...what happened there?, spec wrong or do I have a LHD driver seat as a passenger seat.? Anybody else checked theirs?
