can't remember the thread, but someone else had some very similar ones on a Red Mk6.  Looked undernourished and general consensus wasn't favourable.

i think the golf, being a little on the heavy side, needs slightly chubbier alloys.

Personally I think they look fantastic.
I feel the official R alloys are a bit skinny, but the VW Motorsport ones carry well because they have a heap of spokes.  Remember the pic above is a poor photoshop attempt and has no callipers / drums / disks!

Personal choice again  Lot of people like 18" Monza shadows and are happy with them and I have no issues with that,  IMO don't like them.

I think that one looks great - and on the R suspension would look even better!

general consensus wasn't favourable.

If that is the thread you're talking about, everyone who has posted has positive comments towards them... including you!!!

I totally agree with you there too!  The main thing that drew me to the MK5 Edition 30 was that I really didn't like the Monzas.  I think they suit the car, but I don't know what it is about them - but I just don't like them.  Obviously the extra 30hp was a bonus too - as well as the fully painted rear bumper!  I'll never understand why they only had a half painted bumper in the first place  :undecided:
