Bleeding brakes, can i do just one?

Hi, ive had the rear passenger side caliper of my 88 jetta gti as ive hjad the nipple replaced as it snapped, am i able to bleed just that one caliper or will i have to do them all? i did a search and found the sequence but i dont want to start snapping nipples on the other calipers? any tips? thanks

I changed my drivers side rear caliper last month and got away with just bleeding that corner.

Better to do all 4 as you could leave air trapped in the system.

i read i need to clamp of the brake bias? i had a look at it and how does it mean clamp it off?

clamp it together to let the fluid through

hello mate,    you can usually get away with just bleeding the corner you are working on,  but it is much better pratice do all the lot while you are messing about with the brakes anyway.

if you do only bleed one corner, take the car for a quick blast after and if the brake pedal feels spongy then you are probably best off bleeding all the brakes

Make sure you seal the reservoir before removing the caliper, a plastic bag and an elastic band will work.
Then you will not lose much fluid, so will only have to bleed that corner.
If the system has been changed for a while then do the lot.

Surely now would be the time to remove all the nipples and replace them then? If you leave it longer, it might be even worse, but you *might* stand a chance at the moment.
