haha - already lookin forward to the pics

Latest update: i got my comm number and spoke to VW customer service who told me the same thing as my dealer that it is still BW48 unconfirmed, however the only difference was that VW customer service said shipping can take upto 8 weeks!!!!(to allow for winter conditions), but the dealer is still confident to get it for xmas if it is built week 48!

i just hope it all goes to the dealers plan!

Hmmm - build weeks are confirmed 4-5 weeks before actual build, i'd check again on Friday as a BW48 car should be confirmed this week latest.  Checked mine and i'm the same, BW48 unconfirmed, same position as when i checked last week.

just one other thing, i am pretty sure that my dealer told me back in Aug time when i first ordered that the BW usually gets confirmed around 3 weeks before its due. i dont know whether this is what most people find, or if it is 4-5 weeks....

yeah there's only 4 weeks to go until BW48, and if it is 4-5 weeks, we should definately have heard something by Tues next week, otherwise the possibility of it being further delayed looks likely

i will remain optimistic and hope i am told it is confirmed BW48 no later than the end of week 45!

If it is confirmed Week 48 and going by other peoples experience, you are looking at around 3 weeks delivery after that. Of course North Sea weather dependant. So you might be lucky at get it just before Xmas. Fingers crossed.

Pretty similar with my GTD - zero help/info from VW CC for me or dealer by phone.  I would have waited (have cancelled and gone for another dealer sourced car with slight compromise) if it had been confirmed-but-possibly-sooner for build week 4 next year.  Instead it's still provisional which, to me, says - 'we really value your order but only until there's another scrappage scheme somewhere else...'.  How hard can that actually be?
