I'd just ask them for the comm number, which for me is six digits.  I wouldn't worry, it's not harrassing them, it shows geniune interest (you don't ask, you don't get).  At the end of the day you are the customer, they are there to provide a service.  It also keeps them on their toes.

I've just rung VW Customer Care (08000 833 914) for an update on mine and it's still scheduled for week 48 (but not yet confirmed).

^i think i may wait another week then before phoning. I was told by my dealer it is normally confirmed 4 to 5 weeks before its actual build week.

Got a call from my dealer. The car is currently on a boat on its way to England. It will take another 2-3 days for it to be transported over to my local dealer. I might able to pick up the car by the end of next week.
Hope they got the colour and spec right! Can't imagine if I reject the car how long I have to wait for another one!!

I think I've said before, you're all lucky buggers compared to me.

Deposit with dealer first week in October who will then only order when VAG provide them with allocation [December ?] for expected delivery in April next year.

Mine might be on the same boat, was told a few days ago it was waiting at the docks.

NB I hope they are tied down well, It's a bit rough here in the North Sea at the moment.
