You can add me as well. Ordered 22nd July, build week 42. Due to dealer allocation I think my order went through as August.

I ordered mine on the 3/7/09 (4 days before Rolfe) and I was told the car will arrive in october 3 weeks ago.
So Im hoping I will get a call this coming week! :rolleyes:

Got the call today. (Wonder whether he go on this forum) Told me they are building the car this week (Week39) and will be shipped to UK/Grimsby before the end of this month.

I ordered my car before Rolfe, just wonder how she manage to get her car this fast???? :rolleyes:

I am getting more and more excited!

Im guessing its because of a few things colour/spec but also allocation at dealers when they actually put there order in for example.

Just been told mine is provisional week 48  :smiley: I was told this could change until 4-5 weeks before the build week which is the time when it gets confirmed.

I was just thinking / wondering as mines not till week 48 and then 2 to 3 weeks later probably before i can collect it (if i can get time off!), i wonder if i could pay for it before the end of the year (for current tax rate) and get them to register it maybe 1st jan or get them to register it before end of the year but only tax it 1st jan? saves wasting a months tax.

Dealer needs VIN number to register and i beleive this is only known when the car lands in the UK ?

IF my dealer is anything to go by then mid-late August orders being Wk48 build sounds about right. My TDI is Wk 49, ordered early SEpt but this was already in the system to be built but spec changeable at the time.

Anyone whos build week is not confirmed yet i strongly recomend from Tuesday(computer system gets updated then) you phone your dealer or VW customer service(if you have your commision number) and find out if your build week has changed as ALOT of them have been moved about this week so im told.
