Ahhh I Know those Little Alan bolts well.

I will just have to get phisical with a hacksaw. Then get real nasty with a blow torch and a lovely cup of tea at work. That shouldget those little sh**s out.

I am a slowly slowly catchy monkey type but I will get some pics up the finished job some day.

Cheers Everyone.
James..

I have a mk3 golf 8v I got some 4 stud wheels at a bargain price the rear conversion was a doddle but now I'm struggling with the front.
I have a set of 4 stud hubs off a carrado with no ABS and g60 calipers.
A set of 4 stud hubs with ABS form eBay not sure what off though. They all look very similar except the lower ball joint on the originals differs.
I'm thinking that by undoing the 3 bolts on the ball joint I can remove the whole hub and insert the replacement. Fingers crossed this might do the trick.
My other thoughts where to just replace the bearing and hubs and insert them into the original.
I'm looking at keeping the car for a good few years to come and understand that buying other wheels is the simple option.
God loves a truer thought I'd share this see what others think.

Happy new year

 I'd swap the hubs over
