MK 3 GTI 5 STUD TO 4 STUD CONVERSION
« on: 22 September 2009, 11:00 »
How Do .
Would anybody know about which hubs i would need front and rear for my mk3 gti.
I have a set of 4x100 bbs style wheels of an e30 BMW wheels that i have spent blood tears and time on and i am not going to part with them. I obviously want to keep the rear set up as disk and would like the front to stay as 280mm so perhaps there wouldn't be the need to get new calipers maybe just carriers.
Did a search and read somthing about passats and and seats.
Could you maybee use the hubs of a passat 16v.
Any help would be chuffin appreciated.
James.. :undecided:

Pretty sure that non GTi Mk3s are 4 stud. Perhaps you can get the bits from one of them? Not 100% tho, but seen plenty of wheels advertised for Mk3 with only 4 stud.

+1 if they are off a e30 BMW the offset will be all wrong anyway.

You would probably be looking at a G60 set up if you want anything other than cheese for brakes.

PCD adapters dont go backwards from 5x100 to 4x100 as the holes get a little bit to close.

They do exist, but i dont think big brands sell them due to them being a bit dodgey.
