You're looking at about £3-4k for either approach.

Custom management, forged/uprated internals - unless you have a 1.8 8v G60 block ... a total nightmare to be honest. You'd be better off trying to use a 20vT, but it still aint cheap.

If you have to ask these sort of questions and are under the impression that you can just bolt a 20v inlet and manifold on a normal 8v engine (thats how your post reads anyway) you really shouldnt be considering it at all. You can do a turbo or supercharger conversion for very little money if you know what your doing and set realistic goals but I suspect the turbo you have been offered may be too big for a small budget.

If your mechanical skills are as good as your language skills, then I think you should improve both before trying anything nearly as advanced as seeking information about nailing a turbo conversion together out of some random bits you have lying around, or can buy 'cheap'.

Doing anything like what you're suggesting needs a lot of research.  People will respond a lot better to your questions if you use proper sentences using real words and punctuation.

The flip side is I probably have a load of bits you can have for 'cheap' which may be useful in this conversion you're thinking about......
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
