ipod in mk3 is REALLY LOUD
« on: 02 September 2009, 19:49 »
i brought a ipod kit to hook up to my old Panasonic cd head unit.
this kit:  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IPOD-to-RCA-adaptor-charge-IPOD-Car-Stereo-AUX-IN_W0QQitemZ280358869860QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET?hash=item4146b0db64&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
it plugs in and works but its super loud.
i have ipod set on no volume at all. then if i turn my volume up on my head unit from 0 to 1 volume. its as loud as say volume 34 if i was listenin to cd/radio. ive tired turning the EQ complely off on ipod or putting it on small speaker setting, makes no difference. any suggestions? end of the day it cost about a fiver for the wire kit so no loss really. just was fed up with Fm transmitter ipod connectivity.

thanks
laim

what you really need is this
http://www.awesomeautomotive.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=732&osCsid=a484607d4e1d0e2ccec00e9fc38e6079
this uses the actual ipod dock plug and gives a line output for the audio it will also charge the ipod and has a video out aswell so you could actually hook up a screen in the car to play ipod movies on
i sell these for £24.99 and they work brilliantly

ah you did not say you had that plus that link was not there earlier i presumed you had one that plugs into the headphone plug
you might want to try another ipod to see if it does it with that one if yes then it could be the h/u if not then possibly the ipod
