Should feel night and day between stock and Std map, or you have some Engine problem, maybe torn or damaged Dump Valve.

Go back to R-Tech and get them to do some Data Logging on Vagcom, to see whats going on under the bonnet.

R-Tech have an excellent reputation (especially with the mk4's) for their remaps and customer services.  Don't think there are that many running an R-Tech remap on the mk5 but I think maybe AlanD does?

As Phil suggests I would imagin R-Tech would be more than happy to help you out.  They post regularly in the Mk4 section...

For the record.. the R-Tech on this forum is a completely different and totally unrelated company to R-Tec (no 'h') in Hatfield :afro:

i'm sure they'd still have a look at it though,  assuming the OP is local enough to get the car to them

i cant tell as iv just come from a 400bhp evo, and loads of other much quicker cars. i was told by someone that they think they use  superchip for their remaps or chips. the car feels slow to me but is nippy. how do i check if the diverter valve is damaged. im gettin alot of whistling and whooshing from the turbo. dont know if this is normal????

The earlier revisions of the DV valve that you might find on 05 plates will make a gentle little sneeze when you change gear etc.  I believe newer revisions are near silent.  You should hear a gentle hiss as the turbo spools up but its only detectable when you have the radio off.

I don't know when the DV version changed to a quieter one.  Personally I like the discreet little sneeze it makes.

Of course with a re-map maybe its meant to be louder...

It could be a Superchips remap?   http://www.r-tecautodesign.com/index.php?p=superchips

If you dont sort your problem pop it along to us I we can take a look to see where you power have feck off to and even get it on the rolling road.  The Superchips map should still give you the grin factor.

I have remap load of 2.0TFSi engine which failed to make power after the remap due to a naffed DV.  New DV fitted = loads of power!!

We stock the OEM DVs and the Forge uprated ones.
