Urgent help needed!!

well was driving around a round about yesterday and my car started juddering and losing power (quick)
erm i managed to get into a bus stop just as it cut out, all the electrics still work so not battery!

But now the car will not start at all. But when the ignition is on the oil light flashes! is that normal? (silly question i know)


originally we thought it might be petrol, tried that no success.
just need to find answers, as i need the car for work and what not.

Fuel Relay, ECU Relay?

And no it is not ment to flash. Just check that your oil pressure sensor is connected.

Have you checked it has oil in it?

Do you have oil in it?
Any funny smells? (cue fart joke) any smoke?

if you put it in gear and rock the car back and forth is there any resistance?

well i only topped it up with oil the other day and oil changed it 3months ago
soo oil level seems fine i cant see where all the oil would go cause there is no marks outside my house:)

erm funny smells, well when it cut out last night, i opened the bonnet, and yes it did smell a bit eggy

can you pop off you timing cover (top half easy) and see if your belt has gone?

I take it you've tried to turn it over since it cut out?

done it, still in tact!

erm my petrol just shot up, before it was near empty!
and all my indicators are on, not flashing, just on!

very confusing:(

indicators might be the relay actin up (it's the ridiculously difficult one to reach on the far right) then again i could be barking up the wrong tree.

Fuel and ECU relay's were already mentioned so it might be time to have a look and see what condition your relays and indeed fuse box are in.

Have you tried a bump start yet?

And so begins the arduos task of checking all the wiring
